I don't know if I remember it when it was originally on TV, but I've certainly seen scraps of the original from time to time. In fact, I was really confused for a while when all sorts of people suddenly started talking about Battlestar Galactica as though it was exciting and ground-breaking and new. I kept thinking, "What, that dodgy Seventies series with the bad costumes?" It was quite some time before I cottoned on to the fact that it had been remade!
