It's a great meme, and I'm glad to hear it is getting plenty of life!
Family history archive - yes, there was some fascinating and (because it was the Victorian period) quite depressing stuff in there. Children half-blinded during chemistry classes at school, maiden aunts contributing miniature paintings to the royal family's dolls' house, people going off to serve in the First World War, etc. I actually put up the last diary of the surgeon whom most of it revolves around, and the subject of Mum's book, as an LJ at jamesfraserwest. It's quite a good read, with a lot of snarky observations on daily life, plus a Cook's Tour around Italy with his wife.
About Time - yes, a lot of people said something similar to this when I put this entry on FB and Twitter as well. I think my standard for 'good on production details' only really equated to 'better than the Wikipedia page', which was what I'd been using before I got these - and in the end it was the interpretation that mattered more to me, as I was mainly busy thinking about how the historical stories functioned (this sort of thing).

As for fabulous dressing gowns - hell yeah!
