Doctor Who

Well, that was a bit gaze-y an' all, after The Elephant Man last night. And very clever, too.

In fact, I will come right out and say that I think the current season of Doctor Who is, in a different way, now actually as good as Buffy at its best. That's pretty much the highest accolade I can think of for a cult TV series. I'm astonished and enrapt every week.

On a not-very-related note, you've all seen the Irn-Bru Goths advert, right? If not, clicky-clicky. It's so cute.

I think the Irn Bru advert is fantastic. Though I suspect the irony will be lost on 99% of it's audience. I can confirm though that running on the beach makes your New Rock boots go rusty.

Doctor Who was very scary. I'm going to hang small mirrors in front of the eyes of every statue I see now.

He-he-he! We've got to stop them somehow!

*looks at Irn-Bru ad*

*giggles*

That really is quite sweet, isn't it?

I like them on the roller-coaster best, being all punky and getting Irn-Bru in their hair. Awww!

blasphemy! I once thought I liked Lost more than Buffy. I was wrong. I started rewatching Buffy again and you realise how brilliant it actually is, and that there is nothing that can compare (except maybe Firefly but that's still Joss and still doesn't quite match it although it comes very close)

No, I'm dead serious. I keep up with Buffy quite a lot via the cable channels, so it's not just that it's faded in my memory. I really am feeling the same weekly excitement before each episode, and the same genuine satisfaction after it, for Doctor Who now that I only ever really remember feeling before for Buffy.

After a very very shaky first 2 seasons I would say that Doctor Who has become world class sci fi in this series, there's been some absolutley brilliant writing in there...

I think it's unfair to say that season one was 'very very shaky'. But I'll agree that season two was a bit wobbly!

Ah season 2 was definitely shakier than the first... lets put it that way :-)
