No, you're right, I'm sure we can get something out of it. I just haven't really bothered to try to think of anything so far! Ganymede definitely has a lot of potential, though. In fact, if you combine the star-sign with the Greek word the ring also lands next to, you could read it as saying 'he is Ganymede'.

Zeus makes Ganymede immortal, so that mirrors vampirism. We could also suggest that the reference to the star-sign is indicating that Dracula has returned to dust among the stars, like Ganymede becoming the constellation. And then of course there's the male-male desire angle, which is subtly present elsewhere in the story too - and is exactly the kind of stuff we'll be picking over in our webcast.
