What a brilliant day. Shown around Venice by my own private cicerone (Prof Mastrocinque). He was born there, so knew about everything.

Well, yesterday may have been a bit trying, but today I have woken up in Italy, and I can see a Roman city gate from my window. Win.

Mmm! Have just had a delicious breakfast delivered to my room on a big tray. I have never done this before, but I can now recommend it!

Now on train back from Leeds. A very successful day - even met the seller, who turned out to be really nice. And saw Antinous exhibition!

Wow, Diana Wynne Jones day was excellent. She read from 'The Pinhoe Egg' (next Chresto book)! Took many notes, will write up soon.

Today, the man at the kiosk had already made my coffee, just how I like it, before I even got to the front of the queue. I *heart* him.

Edit: And I found a fiver on the pavement in Leamington! Today is teh w1n!

Of course the commute becomes less pleasant when the bus to Leamington manages to crash into a car in front of it on the way to the station...

55 minutes late and counting. Fully intended to attend very interesting paper in Oxford at 5.30. All hope now dashed. :(
