Just had to let you know: I saw The Wicker Man last week, for the first time. It was the shorter version, but that didn't stop me from appreciating it. Wow. What a beautiful, disturbing, though-provoking, and above all important movie.

Ah, brilliant - I'm really glad you liked it so much! I noticed you'd been pleased to acquire a copy in an earlier post of yours. Isn't it criminal thyat it was so badly under-promoted at the time that hardly anyone actually got to see it? But great that it's now enjoying the elevated cult status it deserves!
