When you go to save a file, and accidentally choose the neighbouring option, 'Close', from the 'File' menu instead, please do not then go on to select the button labelled 'No' from the idiot prompt which pops up. You see, it does not mean "Noooo! That's not what I wanted to do!", but (and if you read the text above it, you will see that I am right), "No, I do not want to save all the work I've done in the last half hour."

The button you want is 'Cancel'. You twit.

Argh, no! I do the next best thing a lot, which is to open an old word file and use it as a template, so begin to write a new chapter/essay/etc on it, then forget to save it under a new name and thus write-over my old work. I try to blame the computer for it, but it never works... ;)

Yep, I've done that a fair few times, too! Galling, isn't it? And I do blame the software - I mean, what idiot put 'Close' and 'Save' next to each other on the 'File' menu? *shakes fist*
