Tom Baker to take over BBC1 on Thursday evening.

I don't care what I have to watch to hear his spots in between - even Eastenders will become acceptable.

I think this is a case of programmes between the announcements, rather than announcements between the programmes. So you can switch off for 28 minutes (or whatever) at a time.

Ah, but I know I'll forgot about it if I do that. Having the telly on all evening, and just paying attention to it when his voice booms out from the screen, is probably the best approach for me.
