Time travel
Saturday, 28 April 2007 19:31Bah, I wish the Beeb would stop changing the time of Doctor Who! I just missed the first ten minutes of this week's episode, because I thought it started at 7. I even (thought I had) checked, but mis-read the way the programmes were lined up on DigiGuide, so hadn't noticed that crucial 15 minutes...
Well, at least I can perform an emergency temporal shift to watch it again via On Demand, and I will. But, on the whole, I have to say that that two-parter was one of the lower points of the series so far. Good characters and setting, but the central theme just compromised what Daleks should be about too much for my taste. Not only bad for these two episodes, but I fear bad for their future appearances, too.
Still, next week looks thematically promising...

Date: Monday, 30 April 2007 12:17 (UTC)I just couldn't help thinking that most of the second part was just the same as the scene out of most bond movies where the evil bad guy explains his whole plan to bond just before he trys to kill him.
This was certainly a weak point in this series. Hopefully it will improve from here as I'd been enjoying it up until this ep.
