H2G2 trailer: with Fry and Rickman!

A new internet-only trailer for The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy has surfaced, and I think it's much better than the previous one. Delightfully self-referential, voiced throughout by Stephen Fry, and with two great lines from Alan Rickman as Marvin. I wasn't so sure about the look of Marvin before (I couldn't let go of the version from the TV series). But now I've heard him speak - YES!

Oh right - I hadn't remembered what Trillian looked like from the previous trailer, so had been a bit puzzled by that bit, and wondered who it was. Well, given the tone of the trailer, maybe it was something they put in just for it, because all trailers have romance in them??? *hopes*

I haven't actually seen it yet, but I heard Mike watching it and it did sound rather funny :-) Mike was thinking about using it to demonstrate film trailers if he could find one of better quality, lol.

Oh, right - what does Mike do then? Does he teach film studies in some capacity?

He currently teaches English and Media at GCSE and A-Level (mostly Media), but from next year he'll be teaching Film as well, since he's the only one with a background in it :-)

And yes, I know what you mean about Marvin. Alan Rickman has absolutely the right voice for him! I can just see it now:-

"Turn to page 394. Turn to page 394. Here am I, brain the size of a planet, and they want me to turn to page 394. *sigh* Call that job satisfaction? Coz I don't."
