Apparently, the UK consulate in New York has been bombed. (Thanks to rentaghost31 for the tip-off). Nothing too serious, but erk!

It's fairly obviously election-related, but I suppose in a way we can be paradoxically reassured. It suggests that whoever is behind it (presumably al-Qaeda or similar) doesn't have operatives capable of doing the same in the UK itself, and, at least on this occasion, wasn't able to mount a particularly effective attack.

I mean, these are still only small comforts, but you know... I'm just sorry that the attackers obviously do have operatives in the US.

I am here in the USA,and it is so easy for those to infiltrate.I often wondered why it is so important to bring folks here,take our work and toss us out homless and unemployed,so these folks could have a lie.Things are not as it would appear,here. you have a clubhouse and no girls or boys,it is a daownfall to lower the rules. I understand it is foriegn policy,but take care of your own house before going to the neighbors aid,they more than likely will not return the favor.Hope none were hurt.I do not watch the news,it is too depressing. Well, I was concerned that someone might try something in the run-up to the election; I suppose a small explosion 3000+ miles away isn't too bad...
