None more Gothic

I put it to you: could there possibly be sweets more utterly Gothic than these?

Not only is the packet jet black, but the sweets inside are also jet black and come in black wrappers. I am eating some now, and can report that they are of the same boiled sweet type as e.g. Fox's Glacier Fruits or Glacier Mints, and taste a little bit like Black Jacks. And I fear that when I next look in a mirror, my tongue might now prove to be jet black, as well.

Fox Glacier is here in New Zealand (south island halfway down on the left hand side) and is sort of white and snowy. I've been on Franz Josef Glacier which is essentially next door and I can confirm for the record that it doesn't taste at all minty (or fruity), it tastes cold. So I think that sweets such as these should be renamed Fox Glacier Colds.

So, what you're saying is that you don't actually know for sure that Fox Glacier doesn't taste fruity, minty, or indeed of liquorice and aniseed: you're only assuming this by analogy?

I am personally convinced that the Fox Glacier must have many distinct branches, in a range of delicious flavours.

This is true, whilst I have no conclusive proof of its taste, other than never having been sold anything fox glacier shaped or tasting, which as a bumbling english tourist is quite remarkable. If it was a foodstuff I'd have already inadvertenly purchased fox glacier lollies in the shape of mordor or as a ring etched with runes with a certificate of "authenticity". No I am pretty convinced that it is a big snowy blob. There was no evidence of it being liquorice - it was definitely *very* white.
