Date: Friday, 4 April 2008 14:21 (UTC)In the 10 seconds I had to imagine your house before getting to the pictures, I managed to build up a completely different impression of what it would look like - for some reason I was thinking more along the lines of Dumbledore's office, not so bright and light and airy and awe-inspiringly tidy

Date: Friday, 4 April 2008 15:07 (UTC)As for picture rails, having been round three of these houses during my house-hunting days, and another two since to visit neighbours, I'm pretty sure that none of them ever did have picture rails in the first place. I'm not sure how typical or a-typical that would have been for the time, though.

Date: Friday, 4 April 2008 18:47 (UTC)The house looks wonderful - a sort of cosy minimalism. A look I would go for myself if I just didn't have so much stuff! :)
